Wish Emraan Hashmi, a very happy birthday!

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD
It's Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi's birthday today. The actor, who turned 33 on March 24, made his Bollywood debut with the film FOOTPATH in 2003 but that unfortunately did not do well at the box office.

However, he got his first box-office hit by doing Anurag Basu's MURDER in 2004 and after that there was no looking back for Emraan. Hashmi, who is commonly known as the 'serial kisser' of Bollywood, won Screen Award for 'Best Villain' for MURDER in 2005 and in 2011 he once again won the Screen Award for 'Best Villain' for ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI.
Some of his hit movies are MURDER, KALYUG, GANGSTER, JANNAT, RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, MURDER 2, THE DIRTY PICTURE and many more.

2012 seems to be on high for Hashmi as he will be having back to back releases. His upcoming films are JANNAT 2, SHANGHAI, RUSH and RAAZ 3. !!!!!!!!!

Who is More Stylish- Kangana OR Sonam

When we talk about style, the two names which immediately flash in our minds are of Sonam Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut. Both the actresses love to experiment with their looks, have distinct style statements, and audaciously carry off their outfits with much elan and the duo never ceases to stun their fans with their unconventional appearances. More than movies it's their fashion acumen which is widely discussed/ raved about.

Take a look at the two fashionistas of B-town and let us know who deserves to be crowned as the most stylish diva. Both are the new hot sizzling divas!!!!

Bipasha regrets for not being paired with SRK

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD
She has undoubtedly the hottest curves in B-town. Her decade long affair with Bollywood has been a mix of all kinds of genres. She has witnessed the highs and lows of being the most sought after actress in town. Having been there and done that, the actress still harbors regret. A regret she cannot come to terms with.

Despite having three consecutive flops-DUM MAARO DUM, PLAYERS and JODI BREAKERS, Bipasha is working hard to put things together and give a fitting reply to her critics. Though Bips has films like SINGULARITY, RACE 2 and RAAZ 3 in her kitty, the actress regrets not having worked with Shahrukh Khan so far.

Speaking about it, Bipasha says, ''There are a lot of people who I want to work with. But I really want to work with Shahrukh. I hope it happens soon. It is my biggest regret so far that I have not been able to pair with him in any film in the last 10 years of my career.''

While Bipasha is making all efforts to pair up with SRK, let's hope King Khan does not miss the die-hard fan in her this time around.!!!!!!!!!!!

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD
It's hazel-eyed actress Rani Mukerji's birthday today! According to the reports, the actress has no big plans for her birthday celebration and will apparently keep the day simple, probably spending some quality time with family and close friends.

Rani, who turned 34 today, made her acting debut with RAJA KI AAYEGI BARAAT in 1997. However, the actress shined at the big screen after the success of Shahrukh Khan, Kajol starrer KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI, for which Rani won the Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress.

Known for her brilliant performances, Rani has some classic films like YUVA, VEER ZARA, BLACK and NO ONE KILLED JESSICA under her belt. And now, the diva is gearing up for her upcoming suspense thriller TALAASH opposite Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.!!!!!!!!!

Kareena: Saif and Aamir are the best actors in Indian cinema

H2BWOOD

B-town's most happening couple - Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor was seen together at their upcoming film AGENT VINOD's promotional event.

On asking Bebo about her favourite actor she said, ''I've always said that, Saif and Aamir are the best actors in Indian cinema; so it's a great opportunity to work with Saif.''

Kareena not only praised Saif and Aamir but also admired director Sriram Raghavan. ''I have worked with Saif before, but what Sriram has captured in AGENT VINOD, was missing in TASHAN and KURBAAN, which now our fans would get to see.''
Saifeena interacted with the audience at Reliance Digital and shared some special moments of the film.

The film AGENT VINOD is about a detective and Dr. Iram Parveen Bilal (Kareena Kapoor) who plays the secret agent role. The movie, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is a classic suspense thriller and is scheduled to release on March 23, 2012.

AGENT VINOD:REVIEW

H2BWOOD
23-MAR-2012
Agent Vinod (Saif Ali Khan), goes on an international mission to find out what '242' is. He kills bad men and bumps into Iram (Kareena Kapoor), a Pakistani. When '242' turns out to be a nuclear bomb, about to be exploded in Delhi, Vinod is called to save the day.

Sriram Raghavan and Arijit Biswas's story is quite ordinary when you compare it with other films of the same genre. While the writer-director Sriram Raghavan has made sure that the scenes are slickly shot and executed but at times, they hardly make any sense. Although this does gives a feeling of anticipation, the audience soon realizes that there is nothing earth-shattering that is going to be revealed in the plot.

Saif Ali Khan delivers a confident performance and is brilliant in many scenes. He could have done better in the action sequences. Kareena Kapoor gets a substantial a role and she doesn't disappoint. Others lend able support.

The music, by Pritam, is alright. The songs 'Raabta' and 'I'll Do The Talking' are good to listen to. Pungi, already a hit, makes an appearance in the end credits. Lyrics, by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Neelesh Misra, are passable.

Production Design, by Acropolis, Rajnish Hedao, Sumit Basu and Snigdha Basu, is excellent. The action (Action Director: Peter Heins, Additional Action: Parvez Khan) is well composed but is, sometimes, too much in your face. Muraleedharan C.K.'s cinematography is excellent. Pooja Ladha Surti's editing is crisp, especially in the action sequences.

On the whole, Agent Vinod is a half-baked fare which disappoints. The film will not fare too well at the box-office as word of mouth publicity will not work in its favor.!!!

In the alternate universe of Men in Black III, Andy Warhol is a secret agent, Josh Brolin is Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith is still as sarcastic as ever.

As it turns out, Jones' Agent K was dead during the first two blockbuster films -- how's that for a years-in-the-making twist? -- and J has to go back in time to fight an attack that could change the course of history.

'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Poster Art - P 2012
On-set material showcases Ben Walker as Lincoln, while Fox's new poster poses Abe with his trademark axe.

History buffs and vampire enthusiasts get their first glimpse of the America’s 16th President in action in behind-the-scenes footage from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the historical drama-cum-monster movie directed by Timur Bekmambetov. Simultaneously, a new poster for the film debuted at IMP Awards, showing the President sitting atop the Lincoln Memorial and brandishing an axe.

After an introduction by Ben Walker, who plays Lincoln, producer Jim Lemley discusses how Walker’s rendition of the Gettysburg Address (“as if he wrote it”) earned him the role. Bekmambetov echoes Lemley’s praise for the actor, indicating he forgot what Walker looked like because he spent so much time with him while he was in character. Meanwhile, Walker characterizes Bekmambetov as “a really professional six year old,” talking about how spontaneous the filmmaker is while on set.

As footage unspools of the actors performing scenes on set, Lemley describes the film as “a very committed version of Lincoln’s life - it’s what you don’t know about Abraham Lincoln, turned on its head.”

The film marks Walker’s first major role after supporting turns in films like Flags of out Fathers and The Notorious Bettie Page. It’s Bekmambetov’s first American film since the 2008 blockbuster Wanted. Adapted by Simon Kinberg and Seth Grahame-Smith from Grahame-Smith’s novel of the same name, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter combines the events of Lincoln’s real life with an adventure story about the President’s battle with bloodthirsty vampires. Lincoln invokes the enmity of America’s vampire population when he discovers that they are using slaves for food and becomes an Abolitionist, and fights to protect his family (and the country as a whole) from their menace...........

Glen Mazzara and Robert Kirkman Spill on the Bloody Finale
Who was the sword-wielding woman? Who almost was killed off but survived? What did Jenner whisper to Rick and how did the group respond? The showrunner and executive producer/comic book creator answer burning questions about the season finale and look ahead to their biggest year yet.

AMC's The Walking Dead capped its record-breaking second season in epic fashion Sunday, with a bloody finale that pushed Rick and the group forward in a huge way.

After stabbing Shane (Jon Bernthal) to death in last week's penultimate episode, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) learned that Jenner's (Noah Emmerich) whisper in the Season 1 finale at the CDC was, in fact, true -- everyone is infected and, without a fatal blow to the head, will come back to life after death as a zombie.

His return to Hershel's (Scott Wilson) farm, however, is interrupted as a massive herd of zombies closed in and took a hefty toll on the survivors, with Otis' late wife, Patricia (Jane McNeil), and Beth's (Emily Kinney) boyfriend, Jimmy (James Allen McCune), among the casualties. After everyone split off, most of the group was quickly reassembled on the highway where the season began and they lost Sophia.

Once the surviving members of the group were reunited, Rick was forced to explain Shane's death -- and in doing so, shared the details of Jenner's secret, instantly facing the wrath of everyone, including Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies).

Meanwhile, Andrea (Laurie Holden) was forced to fend for herself and outrun the herd, nearly falling victim to the undead before a mysterious hooded woman with a sword came to her rescue just as it looked as if her time was up.

So where does the group go from here? The Hollywood Reporter caught up with showrunner Glen Mazzara and executive producer/comic book creator Robert Kirkman -- who both penned the installment -- to discuss the heart-racing episode, why comic book fans are probably jumping for joy at the sight of the hooded woman (Michonne!) and which character nearly joined the body count. Plus, how are they approaching the 16-episode third season, which promises to be their biggest season to date!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foreign Box Office: 'John Carter' Repeats as No. 1 for Second Consecutive Weekend But Slips in Key Overseas Markets

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD

"21 Jump Street" sparks offshore action while "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" jumps to No. 2; "Journey 2" hits $300 million worldwide while "Mission: Impossible" grosses more than $100 million in China.

Getting a gentler box office reception on the foreign theatrical circuit, Disney’s John Carter took the No. 1 spot overseas for the second consecutive weekend, grossing $40.7 million from 54 offshore markets and lifting its international gross total to $126.1 million..........

Weekend action for the $250-million-plus live action animation fantasy-adventure directed by Andrew Stanton was down more than 40% from its foreign debut last round. It slipped from first place to No. 4 in the U.K., where it took in an estimated $1.8 million from some 460 spots for a market cume of an estimated $6.3 million.
In Australia, where Carter also opened No. 1 last round, the film placed second this time, dropping about 51% to an estimated $1.6 million on the weekend. Carter also dropped from No. 2 to No. 3 in South Korea and Germany, from second to fourth in France, and from third to fifth place in Italy.
Overall, Carter’s overseas reception remains considerably kinder so far than the comparable $13.5 weekend tally and $53.2 million cume-to-date meted out in the U.S. and Canada...........

One for his fans, and that way our fans can come together. There shouldn’t be a divide. You know? It’s music, and it’s innocent.”!!!!!!!!!!!

Box Office Preview: '21 Jump Street' Hopes to Steal Crown From 'Lorax'

Sony and MGM's comedic film adaptation of the television show headlines Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum; two other comedies debut in limited runs: Will Ferrell's "Casa de mi Padre" and the Jason Segel-Ed Helms starrer "Jeff, Who Lives at Home."

The Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum headliner 21 Jump Street is poised to stir up good business in its domestic box office debut this weekend, with projections showing the film grossing in the $25 million to $30 million range.

The big question is whether the well-reviewed movie can best holdover Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, which has ruled the roost for two straight weekends and has grossed $132.2 million to date domestically.

Box-office observers also will be watching to see how much Disney's ill-fated John Carter falls during its second weekend. The big-budget tentpole debuted to a meek $30.2 domestically and has grossed $37.6 million to date domestically.

'Dark Shadows' Trailer: First Look at Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's Vampire Film (Video)

DARK SHADOWS TRAILER:FIRST LOOK

Johnny Depp is back where he belongs: in ostentatious costuming, and in front of Tim Burton's camera.
After months of teasing photos of Depp in pale white makeup and 17th century accouter, the first trailer for Dark Shadows has hit the web. And as we can see the marriage of audio and rapidly moving images would seriously freak out Barnabas Collins.

Depp plays the risen vampire who becomes  a blood sucker out of water after waking up in 1972 in a household filled by the likes of Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter and Chloe Moretz; as a remake of a daytime soap opera that ran from 1966-72, the fish out of water tale adds an extra level of winking to the camp to the silly, supernatural melodrama.
The film has long been a passion project for Depp, and it marks his eighth project with Burton, following Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy HollowCharlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse BrideSweeney Todd and Alice in Wonderland. The film hits theaters on May 11.!!!!!!!

THE HUNGER GAMES REVIEW

The arrow hits an outer circle of the target in The Hunger Games, an amply faithful adaptation of Suzanne Collins' monster young-adult best-seller that could have used a higher blood count in more ways than one. As she did in her breakthrough film Winter's Bone, Jennifer Lawrence anchors this futuristic and politicized elaboration of The Most Dangerous Game with impressive gravity and presence, while director Gary Ross gets enough of what matters in the book up on the screen to satisfy its legions of fans worldwide. This Lionsgate release is being positioned as the hottest property for the teen audience since Twilight, and there's no reason to believe that box office results won't land roughly in that vaunted vicinity.

Published in 2008, The Hunger Games marked the beginning of a trilogy, rounded out by Catching Fire and Mockingjay, which has in toto has sold more than 26 million copies, with many more to come now that the film has arrived. A giant opening weekend beginning March 23, which is all but guaranteed, will no doubt trigger a green light for the second big-screen installment in the series, for which the three lead actors are already set.

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD
'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' is an unusual story of two people who meet by chance and get married under the influence of alcohol.  The story is quite new for the Indian audience. The drama will be enjoyed mainly by the multiplex and city audience.

The screenplay is fresh and unpredictable. The dialogues are entertaining. Imran Khan does an excellent job. Kareena Kapoor is extraordinary. The two have great on screen chemistry. Shakun Batra's direction is mature. All the songs are well-written and well-composed. The other technical aspects are of a superior quality.

PAAN SINGH TOMAR

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD
UTV Spotboy's Paan Singh Tomar (UA) is a biographical film on the life of Paan Singh Tomar, a super-fast athlete who is forced by circumstances to take the gun in his hands and become a dreaded dacoit in the valleys of Chambal.

Sanjay Chauhan and Tigmanshu Dhulia have penned an interesting story and screenplay in the first half when Paan Singh Tomar becomes an athlete of repute in the Indian Army. However, the interval point, at which the film takes a dramatic turn, prepares the audience for a revenge drama in the second half. And that is exactly what the post-interval portion turns out to be – a routine revenge fare, full of action.

CHAAR DIN KI CHANDNI

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD
'Chaar Din Ki Chandni' is a comedy of errors starring Tusshar Kapoor & Kulraj Randhawa There are exaggerated scenes and situations, but if the viewer doesn't mind them it is enjoyable, it is because the story doesn't pretend to be something else. The first half impresses more for the characters rather than the scenes. . The writers have taken care to add a couple of Indian family sentiments in the comic drama, which touch the heart. The dialogues and punch-lines compliment the mood of the film

Tusshar is very good as Veer Vikram Singh and shines as Pappi Singh. Kulraj Randhawa acts ably. Anupam Kher and Om Puri are excellent

KAHAANI

H2BWOOD
H2BWOOD
Kahaani is a suspense drama. Vidya Bagchi played by Vidya Balan, is a pregnant woman who comes from London to Kolkata in search of her missing husband.

The story is engaging and thrilling and so is the screenplay. The screenplay can become confusing as the events unfold at a very fast pace. The drama keeps the audience engaged and it will especially appeal to the classes. The climax is superb. Dialogues are appropriate.

AGENT VINOD 2012- Prem Chopra

He was the most distasteful, lecherous, and downright 'Bad Guy' of 70s and 80s of Bollywood cinema. He made the character of the bad guy frighteningly real. He is none other than our very own Prem Chopra. And now the veteran actor is once again set to return as a baddie with Saif Ali Khan's upcoming film AGENT VINOD.

Says Prem Chopra, ''I have played various negative characters in my career but AGENT VINOD is something different and special.

Having said that, the character which Prem Chopra portrays in AGENT VINOD is not heavy to the hilt like he used to play in his heydays. ''My character in the film is not totally negative. It does have good shades also. It's not that insensitive as I used to play in my earlier films,'' says the yesteryear icon.

Prem is also all praise for AGENT VINOD director, Sriram Raghavan. He says, ''Sriram is a very talented director. He is extremely hard working.''

Ask Prem of all the negative characters he has played till date and which is his favourite he says, ''I have done more than 400 films and it's quite difficult to say which one is my favourite. I appreciate all my characters which I played in my films. They are memorable.''

Now that the presence of strong-willed and cruel villains in Bollywood is gradually diminishing, the veteran actor expresses his take on the trend. ''The reason behind the dearth of strong-willed villains is that now the heroes are themselves interested in playing the baddies. The line between heroes and villains is slowly blurring. The heroes, today, are more interested in essaying negative characters than the usual heroes. With a strong reason like victim of chance, the good man converts into a bad man,'' says Prem Chopra.

AGENT VINOD is all set to hit the screens on 23rd March 2012. !!!!!!!!

Everyone welcomed his ideas, including the director Sachin Yardi, art director Madhur Sarkar and co-star Tusshar Kapoor."

Says Riteish, "We were shooting the scene in a particular way and things weren't working out. Once we changed the setting of the sofa and a few other items, there was more space for the camera and crew members to move around without bumping into each other or the furniture. The idea was to have many posters, lots of color, clutter in certain areas yet having a neat feel to it."

Agneepath

H2BWOOD

The ageless, eccentric baldie Kancha Cheena (Sanjay Dutt), modeled loosely on the lines of Marlon Brando (Col. Kurtz) in Apocalypse Now, has a thing for the Bhagwad Gita. The line, "Kya lekar aaye the, aur kya lekar jaoge," referring to the perishable human body that's merely a cloth or uniform for the eternal soul, is Kancha's favourite catch-phrase.

The land he lords over looks equally mythical. The absence of the nation-state is worrying. It's clearly Kancha's Lanka, his private North West Frontier that the police find hard to penetrate, fearing for the lives of the locals and their own. The village is Mandwa, not very far from Mumbai, where lynch mobs rule, and Kancha's writ runs.

The philanthropic father was a Gandhian, and would advice his son, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." "Mahatma Gandhi wasn't born in Mandwa," the son would tell him. Little Vijay and his pregnant mother were driven out of their village. Kancha's the Ravan. Vijay must be Ram.

Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu

The narrator, who’s also the hero, suggests there are three kinds of kids in the world: “chamche”, who suck up to their parents; the rebellious sorts, who take them head-on; and the smart ones, who do what they like, and their parents never know.

This stiff-neck, stone-faced, tight-assed lead character belongs to the mysterious fourth category: henpecked by mom (Ratna Pathak Shah), bull-dozed by pop (Boman Irani), this fellow grew up under-sexed, under-confident, under his parent's thumb. That his parents are so unnecessarily phony and psychotic, I guess, takes away from some of the realism. But it’s all in the interest of comedy.

Most good boys lose it in Vegas. The one here (Imran Khan, his most convincing role yet) lives in Vegas. Which is a shame. That’s like a party animal grazing around in Saudi Arabia.
